Key Features of BRAC Schools
1. One-Classroom, One-Teacher Model
Each BRAC School consists of a single classroom with 25–33 students of similar age groups, taught by one trained teacher from the local community. This model allows for more personalized attention, a safe learning environment, and strong teacher-student relationships.
2. Locally Recruited Female Teachers
Teachers are predominantly women from the local community, trained extensively in BRAC's child-friendly pedagogy. This not only ensures cultural sensitivity and trust but also empowers women economically and socially.
3. Child-Centered Curriculum
BRAC follows a customized curriculum aligned with the national education framework but delivered using interactive methods such as storytelling, games, creative activities, and group learning.
